Condition for International (non-BR) publishers who are promoting BR programmes
For non-Brazilian publishers who intend to promote Brazilan (BR) programmes, there are some conditions that you must pay attention to. The commissions earned and reported in BRL will be paid out in EUR as a SEPA payment from AWIN Ltd. This means that you will need to have an IBAN (International Bank Account Number) to be able to receive a SEPA payment. Please check the description for non-BR publishers stated in the ‘Overview’ section of the Advertiser profile of each program for the detailed condition (such as the example below).
I do not have an IBAN. How can I receive payments from BR programmes?
If you are not from an EU country or do not have an IBAN, you can set up a EUR Virtual IBAN. Please refer to the details below on how to set up a virtual IBAN.
What is a virtual IBAN?
A virtual IBAN is a dummy IBAN (International Bank Account Numbers) reference issued by a bank to allow incoming payments to be rerouted to a different, physical bank account. Virtual IBAN accounts can be used to send and receive payments worldwide. From the customer’s point of view, a virtual IBAN resembles and functions just like a regular IBAN account. When payments are made to the virtual IBAN, the funds will be routed to the customer’s physical bank account linked to the virtual IBAN.
How do I get a virtual IBAN?
There are many payment institutions that offer a virtual IBAN. It is generally free to set up an account with a payment provider and apply for a virtual IBAN. You are free to apply to any institutions you trust/know. We’d recommend applying to Payoneer due to our ongoing partnership with them.
How do I get a Virtual IBAN from Payoneer?
- Create a Payoneer Account. Please note that if you already have a Payoneer account set up to receive international payments from Awin (via the Global Bank Transfer), you will need to create a brand new Payoneer account that is specifically used to get the virtual IBAN so it will not conflict with your other international payments. Guidance for account set up can be found here.
- Once your account is active, you will be able to request a EUR virtual IBAN by following the instructions in the platform or via this link.
- After you get your virtual IBAN, proceed to enter the IBAN details in the ‘Payment Details’ tab of your Awin account (under the Brazilian real section).
- You're all set. Payments from Brazilian programs will be transferred (in EUR) to your bank account linked to the virtual IBAN. Please note that Foreign Exchange (FX) fee will apply as the EUR payments will be converted to the currency of your bank*.
*The pricing & fee section are presented upon registration of the Payoneer account.
