Awin introduces two improvements to further increase accuracy and security of click reporting.
The new click filters put some restrictions in place so that the traffic reported on your programs is more accurate. This reduces the risk of fraudulent clicks and errors coming from certain publisher accounts.
We have applied the following changes:
- Change #1 - We are only registering 1 click per user per publisher per advertiser within a specific time period (3 hours by default, however, this could change in some programs).
- Change #2 - In cases where this is more than 1 click per second per IP per publisher, Awin will now only register the first click.
This new technique for counting clicks will allow to:
- Reduce the number of irrelevant clicks so that traffic data can be more realistic.
- Have greater accuracy on CPC campaigns, which will help build stronger relationships and trust between you and advertisers.
- Improve your conversion rates (CR) and earnings per click (EPC) metrics.
