Whether you're closing a business, moving platforms, or cleaning up old accounts, this article explains how to shut down your Awin publisher account using the account closure request form.

Before you can close your account

Please read this article in full before requesting account closure.

Before completing an account closure request, you must do the following:

Outstanding commissions

Decide whether to forfeit or claim any approved and cleared commissions you're owed.

Note: Forfeiting your pending payments expedites account closure.

To receive outstanding commissions before you close your account, you must confirm that your payment details are up to date. Funds can only be transferred if your payment details are correct. To learn more, see Understanding Transaction Status and Payment Process.

Identity check

Awin sends you an email to confirm your identity when you make an account closure request. Your account can only be closed if the email address you submit matches the account owner’s email address.

To see the account owner’s email address, complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to the Awin platform
  2. Go to Account > User
  3. Click on User permissions
  4. The account owner’s email address displays under 'Account Owner'

Data protection:

If you complete the account closure process, Awin keeps your data. If you wish to anonymize or erase your data when you close your account, email a request to Awin Privacy Team. Account closure with data clearance requires some additional processing time.

Note: Closed accounts can’t be reopened.

After you submit the request

Final payments

If you have outstanding commissions you didn’t forfeit, Awin pays you your remaining balance.

Awin confirms your account closure

Account closure takes between 1 and 30 business days. Awin emails you to confirm that your account is closed.
