Awin’s cross-device tracking credits you for sales that occur across multiple devices. For example, if a customer clicks your affiliate link on their phone and makes the purchase later using their laptop, you still earn the commission.
How does it work?
-
A customer logs into an advertiser's website using their email address.
-
Awin's cross-device tracking creates an anonymous user ID by encrypting the customer's email address.
-
Awin associates all devices used by this customer with the anonymous user ID.
-
If the customer clicks your affiliate link on one device and purchases on another, Awin recognises it's the same customer and credits your account.
What does this mean for you?
With cross-device tracking, you earn commissions from customers who engage with your marketing across multiple devices before buying. This ensures you receive payment for your part in sales that take place at the end of a cross-device user journey.
