Convert-a-Link turns regular product links on your website into trackable affiliate links.
Once you've activated it using the Publisher MasterTag, Convert-a-Link works with any advertiser programme you've joined on the Awin platform. If you link to a programme you haven't joined yet, the tool automatically submits an application to the advertiser when the link is clicked.
How to activate Convert-a-Link
To activate Convert-a-Link, log in to the Awin platform and complete the following steps:
- Go to Toolbox > Publisher MasterTag
- Toggle the Convert-a-Link switch to the right (it turns green when activated)
- Copy the JavaScript code provided and paste it immediately before the closing
</body> tag on every page of your website
Once installed, Convert-a-Link automatically starts converting standard links into affiliate links.

Testing your Convert-a-Link setup
After enabling Convert-a-Link, allow up to 3 hours for activation. Then, to confirm it's working correctly, complete the following steps:
- Create the following link on your website: http://convertalinktest.awin.com
- Click the link you created
- If Convert-a-Link is functioning properly, a success page loads
- If you see an error page, confirm that Convert-a-Link is active and you have set up your JavaScript correctly before trying again
Note: After testing, allow up to 5 minutes for Convert-a-Link to activate fully.
