Convert-a-Link automatically converts regular product links on your website into affiliate links containing your unique tracking code. This allows you to earn commission when users click and make a purchase.
Follow the steps below to set up and test Convert-a-Link.
Step 1: Activate Convert-a-Link
Prerequisite: Convert-a-Link requires the Publisher MasterTag to be installed on your website.
If you still need to install the Publisher MasterTag, see How do I install the Publisher MasterTag?
- Log in to your Awin account.
- Go to Toolbox > Publisher MasterTag.
- Find Convert-a-Link in the list of plug-ins.
- Toggle the switch to the right (it turns green when active).
Allow up to 3 hours for Convert-a-Link to go live on your site before testing.
Step 2: Test your setup
- On a page with Convert-a-Link enabled, add the following link: http://convertalinktest.awin.com
- Click the link
- If working correctly, you’ll land on a success page.
- If not, an error page loads.

Optional: Ignore specific links
To stop Convert-a-Link from altering certain links, add the attribute data-awinignore as follows:

Track performance
To monitor Convert-a-Link activity, access your Click Reference Report. Clicks from Convert-a-Link are labelled as ‘Convert-a-Link’. To learn more, see Where do I find reports?
