You can run a simple test to check whether your affiliate tracking is working correctly. Just follow the steps below:

  1. Open a private or incognito browser window with any ad blockers turned off, and paste the tracking link you want to test into the address bar.

Note: Avoid using privacy-focused browsers such as Brave or Tor, as they can interfere with tracking.

  1. Paste your tracking link into the browser’s address bar, press return, and confirm that the link redirects to the correct page.
  2. Buy a low-cost product from the advertiser’s site. This purchase helps verify whether sales are being tracked accurately.
  3. Once the purchase is complete, log in to your Awin account and go to Reports > Transactions.

You should see the click, transaction, and commission recorded there. To learn more, see Where do I find reports?

Note: You can request a refund for the test purchase, but contact the advertiser first as they may be able to approve it faster. For more information, see How can I contact an advertiser?

If the transaction is missing from your reports

If neither clicks nor commissions have been tracked, review your affiliate link setup and test environment for common configuration errors. For guidance on diagnosing and resolving tracking issues, see How can I ensure my affiliate sales are tracked correctly?
