This FAQ explains how advertiser communications work, how to manage your subscription preferences, and what to check if you're not receiving updates.
What types of advertiser news are there?
- Programme Update: Changes to terms and conditions, tracking, commission, or programme status
- Promotional News: Promotional opportunities, such as voucher codes, sale events, or seasonal campaigns to support performance
- Performance Update: Additional promotions when you meet their performance targets
How do I receive advertiser news?
The advertiser news are enabled by default.
To manage your preferences, go to Account > Settings > Subscription Preferences. You can enable or disable notifications for each advertiser programme, or unsubscribe by category.
How can I manage subscriptions for individual programmes?
To stop receiving updates from a specific programme:
- Go to Advertisers > My Programmes.
- Select the advertiser.
- Open Subscription Preferences.
- Deselect the relevant options and click Save.
Alternatively:
- Go to Account > Settings > Subscription Preferences.
- Deselect the relevant advertisers.
- Click Save.
What is the Commission Change Alert?
If an advertiser changes their commission rate, you can receive a daily email summary.
These alerts are only available once per day, and the frequency cannot be changed.
To manage this setting, go to Account > Settings > Subscription Preferences and toggle Commission Change Alerts.
How do I change my Awin email preferences?
By default, communications are sent to the primary email address.
To update it, go to Account > Contact Details > Primary Email Address. For a detailed guidance, see How to update your contact details.
Note: Only the account owner and users with admin or full access permissions can update contact details.
What can I do if I’m not receiving any emails from Awin or advertisers?
If you didn’t receive an expected email, check:
- Your subscription preferences are enabled
- Your primary email address is correct
- Your inbox filters (spam, junk, promotions, rules)
- That no-reply@awin.com is not blocked
If emails still don’t arrive, click Contact Support at the bottom of this article.
Can I receive notice before a programme closes?
No. Advertisers are not required to notify publishers before closing a programme.
You’ll receive a notification after the programme closes. To receive these updates, keep Programme Updates enabled on Advertiser News.
How do I know if an email from an advertiser is legitimate?
Advertiser communications are typically sent from the Awin platform and relate to programmes you’ve joined.
If you’re unsure:
- Check the advertiser’s programme profile
- Avoid clicking suspicious links
- Contact the advertiser through the platform
For a full guidance on protecting yourself and your account, see Essential Awin Security Advice.
How can I follow up on an email from an advertiser?
Use the contact details in the advertiser’s programme profile under Contact. You can also click Send an email to contact them directly.
For a detailed guidance, read How can I contact an advertiser?
How do I stop receiving all emails?
- Advertiser news: Uncheck all boxes in Account > Settings > Subscription Preferences.
- Awin marketing emails: Use the ‘Unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of marketing emails.
If you still receive marketing emails, contact global-privacy@awin.com
Note: Service-critical emails (e.g., payment notices, compliance actions) cannot be disabled as they are required for account operation. When your account is closed, you will no longer receive any emails.
Where can I see past advertiser communications?
You can find past emails from advertisers in your Advertiser News archive. Go to Toolbox > Promotional > Advertiser News to view these messages.
For other activity, check your Activity Stream. For more information, see How do I see activities on my account?
