How can I resolve payment delays with my advertiser?

If your earnings remain in 'Approved' status for an extended period, this usually means the advertiser has not yet paid Awin. Earnings only move to 'Payable' once the advertiser’s payment has been received and processed.

If your earnings have already moved to ‘Payable’ but you have not received payment, see Why haven't I received my payment: Troubleshooting Payment Delays.

Advertiser payment delay process

Awin takes steps to secure timely payments from advertisers to ensure your approved earnings are paid:

  • Invoicing: Awin Account Managers and the Credit Control team issue invoices and send payment reminders when payments are due.
  • Programme restriction: If an invoice remains unpaid, the Credit Control team reviews overdue accounts monthly and may restrict the advertiser’s programmes, usually within approximately 60 days.
  • Programme closure: If payment is still not received, Awin begins closing the advertiser's programme, which typically within approximately 75 days.
  • Collection agency: Once the programme is closed and all commissions are billed, Awin escalates the case to a collection agency to recover the funds, usually within approximately 90 days.

Important: If your earnings remain in ‘Approved’ status for more than 90 days, contact the Partner Success team using the Contact support button below. A member of the team will investigate the clearing process with the advertiser.

How to assess payment risk

You can use the advertiser payment status indicator to understand the likelihood of delays and payment risk.
