Why did ShareASale upgrade publishers to Awin?
ShareASale upgraded to Awin to consolidate operations under a single global affiliate network. This upgrade gives you access to Awin’s advanced tools, an extensive global network of advertisers, and enhanced reporting and commission options to support your affiliate marketing.
Publishers approved by Awin’s Compliance team who met at least one of the following criteria has been upgraded:
- Registered after Jan 2023.
- Click or sale-active since Jan 1st, 2024.
- Five or more approved partnerships.
If you didn’t meet these criteria, you did not receive an upgrade invitation but can register directly on Awin.
How do I know if my ShareASale account has been upgraded?
You’ll have received an email notification confirming your upgrade. The email subject line was “[Program Name] moved to Awin – sign in to keep working together.”
How do I access my Awin account?
- If you’re new to Awin: Follow the instructions in your invitation email to create your account.
- If you already have an Awin account: Log in to your Awin account as usual using your existing credentials.
What if I didn’t receive the account setup email?
- Confirm you're eligible for the upgrade. For more information, see the question Who was upgraded?
- Check your spam folder and ensure your email filters aren’t blocking the sender.
- If you still can't find the email, click Contact Us below this article.
Do I need to verify my email address again?
Yes. If you're creating a new Awin account, you'll need to verify your email using a verification link once your setup is complete.
Will my username and password stay the same?
- New accounts: Log in with your email address and create a new password.
- Existing Awin accounts: Use your current Awin username and password.
Why do I need to set up Two-Step Verification (2SV)?
Two-Step Verification (2SV) provides an extra layer of security to protect your account and payment details from unauthorized access.
You must have 2SV enabled to view or update your payment information.
For setup and troubleshooting instructions, see Two-step verification: Activation, deactivation, and troubleshooting.

No, your existing partnerships have been transferred to Awin.
Do ShareASale Merchants have a new ID on Awin?
Yes, when an advertiser account was upgraded, they received a new Awin ID to replace their ShareASale Merchant ID.
Why can’t I see all my advertisers on Awin?
All eligible advertisers have been upgraded to Awin. If you can’t find an advertiser under 'Joined Programmes' or by using the search bar, it’s likely that they didn’t complete the upgrade.
This is typically due to the following reasons, in which the advertiser may:
- Have a negative account balance
- Be in the process of closing their program
- Have chosen not to proceed with the upgrade
Note: Partnerships with advertisers who upgraded to Awin early didn’t migrate automatically. For these programs, you’ll need to join manually. To learn how, see How do I join an advertiser programme?
Did my partnership conditions change?
No, your commission rates, cookie periods, and other partnership conditions remain the same unless changed by the advertiser.
If you have any questions about your partnership conditions, contact the advertiser directly. To learn how, see How can I contact an advertiser?
Can my ShareASale feedback or rating carry over?
No, Awin has a different rating system, so this data didn't carry over. Instead, Awin uses performance KPIs, which provide a more objective and data-driven measure of performance. For more information, see Publisher Index FAQ.
Will my old ShareASale tracking links still work after the upgrade?
Most existing ShareASale tracking links will continue tracking. Nonetheless, ShareASale short links with no clicks in the 12 months before the migration will no longer track and will redirect to a page stating: “This link is inactive.”
Make sure to replace inactive links with Awin tracking links by using the “Toolbox” section of the Awin platform. To learn more, see How can I create an affiliate link?
How do I access creative assets (banners, links etc.)?
Log in to your Awin account and go to Toolbox > My Creative. You’ll find a range of promotional materials, including tools for creating tracking links and accessing data feeds.
